Our organic Nashis, also known as Apple-pear are cultivated on our own certified organic farms, under the warm sun of Uzbekistan. The temperate warm climate in the region of Samarkand lends our organic apple - pear its juicy, intense and aromatic flavor of pear. Our organic Nashis are plucked by hand when fully ripe, manually cut into slices and the core is removed. Our subsidiary Silk Road Organic Foods carefully harvests in Uzbekistan by means of gentle solar drying and subsequent hand sorting. You can consume our soft organic slices of Nashi as a snack for munching in between the meals or as an ingredient in dry fruit cakes, cereals, yoghurt, and desserts as well as in poultry or wild venison dishes. An interesting combination is obtained with cheese (fresh cheese, goat cheese) and organic nuts (such as organic walnuts).
